The Route - Bismarck to Forman
July - September 2010 Status:
The WVDOH
received approval of the Amended Record of Decision in May 2001. Final design is
underway for the 14.5-mile Bismarck to Forman section in Grant County.
With the advertisement in March 2010 of a grade and drain contract from 0.4 mile
east of the WV 42/WV 93 intersection to 0.68 mile northeast of Fore Knob, construction
is now underway or advertised for the entire length of the Bismarck to Foreman section.
A 3.3-mile paving contract east of CR 3 to west of CR 5 is underway
and is anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2010. A 5.8-mile paving contract
from CR 1 to east of CR 3 is anticipated to be let in the fall of 2011 and completed
in late 2012. The remaining paving contract for the Bismarck to Forman section is
anticipated to be advertised in the fall of 2011 and completed in the fall of 2013.
The WVDOH anticipates that the Bismarck to Forman section of Corridor H may be completed
in late 2013.
